Calls to mind Thanksgiving road trips when I was a kid. My dad had a cassette radio recording he caught of Alice's Restaurant which helped fill the time. It was not the same as the record version ... it was much better... much funnier. I can't link it because I've never been able to find the same version my dad had on cassette.
But that song is well over 6 minutes... and if Arlo was in the right mood it was very funny.

It's rare that a solo player uses a 12 string guitar. That instrument is considered too loud for playing and singing. He achieves a great sound.
