The worst loss (speaking personally) is the loss of our animal family. Recently experienced Oct 18 - Simon, whippet 11.5yr. Hearing his thoughts (assisted via my animal communication teacher) in the ending period was life changing. Their love is the most pure. Making the loss of their physical presence deep.

Offering my sympathy for the loss of Casper's presence. It's true, their spirit and soul are available to us.

My condolences, Rebecca. I'm glad you posted a photo of your beautiful friend. It is a hard thing, how short our animal friends' lives typically are.

Deepest and most sincere condolences. Deepest and most sincere envy for the amazing memories You must have of your time with that beautiful soul. May Casper and You both treasure the eternity of memories You made together for that soul to revel in. Thank You for creating Heaven for Casper Theodore Huckleberry Smith.

I hope that "All dogs go to heaven" is true. I miss my "Pumpkin" - a female Border Collie/Black-Lab mix (looked just like a BC and SHE LOVED TO RUN). All I needed to do was to take out my running shoes and she would be literally on her hind legs dancing - what I called "HOPPING & HOPING" I was going to take her out once again. I once ran with her in 90 degree heat but in a heavily wooded forest (trail) for almost 10 miles and we were moving (I could run a 3:15 marathon at age 50+ at that time). We rested in creeks. When I drove home the second I opened the car door she bolted into the yard at top speed, and was "cutting donuts and figure-8's - throwing dirt and grass everywhere - then she would plop down and look at me for a several seconds - then do it again until she was finally done. I felt it was her way of thanking me and wanting me to know just how much she loved running. A gift from God for us to learn love, forgiveness, happiness, devotion/dedication, protection...... When I pass on, if the first being of any kind that I see is Pumpkin, I'll know I'm in heaven. Keep up the great work Rebecca.

I had a dog running buddy like that, Kinsey. We ran trails together. Wonderful dog.

So sorry Rebecca. They’re part of the family and every but as difficult to let go of.
