You know it's interesting I've been listing to a lot of Camille Paglia interview and lectures lately. I find her ideas fascinating. She talks a lot about the gender and transgender issues we're embroiled in right now long before anyone else really was. But one interesting point she makes is that there shouldn't be special laws to protect individual groups of people, but there SHOULD be special protections for dissenting ideas and speech. I thought that was interesting.

Regarding lack of intermediate evolutionary forms, I'm not sure that's correct. I don't really have an opinion about intelligent design, I'm open to ideas like that, but I'm pretty sure there are pretty good intermediate forms. I read a book called Your Inner Fish a number of years ago by the guy who (along with his team) discovered a very important intermediate fossil way the heck up in northern Canada. Off the top of my head I think it's called Tiktaalik (or something like that). They predicted that something like it would be found in the age of the rocks where they believed sea creatures were evolving into land creatures. They have the same bone structures we have today essentially. Other creatures post Tiktaalik have since been characterized that are believed to be transitional from Tiktaalik.

There are also a lot of transitional forms in whale evolution from earlier land mammals to their fully aquatic descendents.

But, I'm open to hearing other ideas about those few examples.
