The body of this post is identical to what I sent yesterday, but I’m emailing this update because in the wake of yesterday’s post, a reader informed me that they could not longer find the tweet linked below. I tried to find it myself, and not only is the link broken but I have been blocked from TAGHIVscience’s X page entirely, which is the most entertaining gift I could ask for. Can you see the tweet, or has it been removed? And—what could this mean?
Well, well, well. It only took months, but Richard Jefferys of Treatment Action Group, which originated as the “research arm” of ACT UP, has broken the code of silence around The Great Unmentionable, which is of course the Truvada disaster. (“Disaster” might be an understatement.) Here’s his tweet about my latest book:
It’s interesting to see RFK Jr’s name pop up in relation to my book—Kennedy’s “AIDS denialism” has mostly been ignored by the media, with few exceptions. It will be interesting to see if any of these other activists crawl out of the woodwork—stay tuned.
I went a left a comment on the X thread about the drug, "I bet it leaves no one behind regarding liver and kidney damage. But people abroad can't join the class action lawsuit against Gilead for such damage."
I find it disconcerting that the government responsible for our publicly funded medical has numerous links for corporate PARTNERSHIP. The very definition of partnership means they're going to get a say especially if involves millions of dollars.
