Transgender babies??

What is going on?

I’ve been seeing some things on Instagram lately about hospitals asking parents what their newborn babies’ “gender identity” is, and at first I thought it was a joke. (There were four options; male, female, transgender female, and transgender male. What?? They’re hours old at that point.) However, this is apparently a real thing that’s actually happening, as you can see if you click these links.

Here’s a video about a New Jersey hospital that apparently has asked parents of newborns which of the four “gender identities” listed above that their newborn is. How, again, is the decision to transition ever made by a baby? This is nothing else if not evidence that the “trans kids” are not the ones making the decisions about their medical treatment. What’s that line—“a trans child is like a vegan cat; everyone knows it’s not the cat making that decision”? I’m not sure if this is going to go anyplace, but the fact that it’s even being broached is disturbing.

Here’s the video about “trans babies,” but it’s really a lot deeper than that. There is an interview with an actual doctor that claims she saw an 18 month old child express gender dysphoria—really?
