What I’ve been working on lately

I can finally announce my new project! I will be publishing a series of four Kindle ebooks over the next few months, dedicated to providing a comprehensive history and analysis of censorship of HIV AIDS whistleblowers, from the beginning of AIDS to the present day, including the recent attempts to cancel The Real AIDS Epidemic.

Culshaw uses the attempted deplatforming of her evidence-based critique of HIV science (or more accurately, pseudoscience) to warn the public about what is going on in the world of tightly-controlled HIV/AIDS elite for the last  four decades while critics of their work were thrown under the bus.

This is the first of four Kindle volumes that constitute the first attempt at a history of the suppression of freedom of speech in AIDS research. Silencing critics began early in AIDS and, as this outrageous episode indicates, continues to this very day.

The effort to stop distribution of her groundbreaking book without even reading it began with a letter of protest to Simon & Schuster, asking them to cancel distribution of the book. It was signed by a long list of people who should have known better than to have tried to silence Culshaw. In addition to AIDS activists, it included writers, editors, gay activists, and a surprising number of gay organizations that should have been more sensitive to the issue of freedom of speech, given attempts these days to ban gay books that are happening all over the country. It was shocking to see an Oscar-nominated filmmaker and a winner of a MacArthur grant supporting such an authoritarian effort. 

Like some kind of self-appointed "Ministry of Truth," the activists expressed an interest in having some control what the publishing company published about AIDS. Most Americans don't realize the role that activism--often anonymous--played in undermining credible scientists, investigative journalists, and Nobel Prize winners like Kary Mullis who attempted to speak truth to power about the big mistakes in AIDS research. 

Unsatisfied by the lack of response from Simon & Schuster, the AIDS activists held a noisy demonstration outside the offices of Simon Schuster where they voiced their demands. They also parked a truck with a "Shame on Simon & Schuster" billboard protesting the book in front of the offices. Luckily, Simon & Schuster did not acquiesce to the activists' demands. Intimidation failed this time, but where AIDS is concerned, freedom of speech hangs by a thread.

If the AIDS activists had succeeded, the public might never have known the shocking story of how Culshaw discovered inconvenient facts about the HIV theory of AIDS when she was working on her Ph.D. When she discovered the numbers and conclusions bolstering some of the most important HIV research did not make sense, she blew the whistle and became an immediate target for the AIDS establishment. Falsification of theories is one way science advances, but no falsification is allowed in HIV/AIDS research.

Thanks to Covid, this Kindle volume and the three that will be published in the near future, come at a time when the public is becoming more skeptical about the iron hand of the medical elite and the unholy alliance between big pharmaceutical companies, the mainstream media, and people who baptize themselves as you-must do-as-we-say activists. The public now sees behind the masks of scientists who use their powerful positions to carve their ideas in stone and do not allow any challenge from anyone who discovers that their ideas are wrong and even dangerous. Almost from the moment HIV was supposedly discovered, scientific critics were silenced or demonized. Important and promising careers were destroyed. 

Given the cost of speaking up about what is false or mistaken in HIV/AIDS science and treatment, Culshaw has shown tremendous courage in writing The Real AIDS Epidemic and Almost Cancelled. The attempts to deplatform her have only strengthened her resolve to report the disturbing facts about dangerous AIDS treatments, PrEP, and the misguided HIV/AIDS paradigm to her growing readership on Substack.
