Shocking story out of Greenland

4,500+ indigenous women were fitted with IUDs without knowledge or consent

In Greenland, between 1966 and 1970, over 4,500 women—some as young as 13—were fitted with coil IUDs without their knowledge or consent in an effort to “limit birth rates among the indigenous population.” With all the talk of “ethnic cleansing,” this story deserves to be told because it is both a shocking example of eugenics in action, and yet another example of the “medical system” being used to abuse people. From the BBC:

At least 4,500 women, some teenagers, were fitted with coils to limit birth rates among the indigenous population.

The scale of the campaign was exposed last year in a podcast published by Danish broadcaster DR.

Records from the national archives showed that, between 1966 and 1970 alone, 4,500 intrauterine devices (IUDs) were fitted into the women, some as young as 13, without their knowledge or consent.

The government of Greenland estimates that, by the end of 1969, 35% of women in the territory who could potentially have borne children had been fitted with an IUD, according to DR.

The practice is known to have continued until 1975 but the BBC has learned that it lasted for many years after that.

One woman discovered she had been fitted with a coil when she struggled to become pregnant in 2009. Another told the BBC she had been injected with a contraceptive in 2014 without her consent.

Ms Lyberth said that, in some cases, the devices fitted had been too big for the girls' bodies, causing serious health complications or even infertility, while in others the women had been unaware of the devices until they were discovered recently by gynaecologists.

She accused the Danish government of the time of wanting to control the size of Greenland's population in order to save money on welfare.

"It's already 100% clear that the government has broken the law by violating our human rights and causing us serious harm," she said.

The podcast mentioned in the above article is in Danish, so I haven’t listened to it. But this story was also picked up by Jonathon Van Maren at LifeSite News. The content of the article is similar to that of the BBC piece, but the conclusion ought to chill you.

That these women should receive compensation is good and just. But it is important to remember that right now, the same practices are being perpetrated against women and girls across the developing world — contraceptives inserted without consent or informed consent; a push to limit or eliminate their fertility. We’ve gotten sneakier about our eugenics campaigns and we use different terminology, but it all amounts to the same thing.

It is also important to remember that the aggressive push for PrEP use in Third World countries —offering PrEP to African schoolgirls—potentially opens the door for similar abuses to occur with these drugs. As far as I know, no one is being sneakily given PrEP without their knowledge; however, we do know that the public is routinely deceived as to the efficacy and the side effect profiles of PrEP and “anti-HIV drugs” in general. As we know from the AZT scandal and the Truvada disaster, these drugs come with terrible side effect profiles and they never eventuate to be nearly as effective as advertised.

What happened to the women in Greenland is terrible, and it is not an isolated incident. And with the ever-encroaching public health police state (remember the COVID vaccine mandates?), it would behoove us to pay attention to these stories and do everything in our power to ensure that such atrocities never happen again.
