Protesting “The Real AIDS Epidemic” (updated)
Things are escalating.

I received notice that ACT UP NY is organizing a protest against Simon & Schuster and “The Real AIDS Epidemic” on Monday at noon.
One small question: How is someone that argues that the real AIDS epidemic is substantially larger than we’ve been led to believe be an “AIDS denialist”?

What baffles me is why do they even think they represent all those labeled HIV+? I'm one of them, and if I see a persistent threat, it's their insistence on maintaining one narrative, and one narrative only - incidentally, the one they owe their jobs to. I'm fed up with the "one size fits all" approach. I'm fed up with the gospel-like guidelines. I'm fed up being made to feel grateful for the oh so marvellous drugs now available. Enough with the monolithic experience. Book pre-ordered.
