I posted this on my music substack, but I wanted to share this song in case a single reader appreciates it, and also because i occasionally post songs and this one is worth sharing. My children have told me that this song reminds them of their childhood. I’ve seen this artist live & I am confident that out of a hundred or so shows I’ve seen, he’s certainly the most energetic performer I’ve seen. He’s also a phenomenally talented rapper. And I love the way he moves onstage—if I could rap, which I decidedly cannot, I’m sure I’d move in the exact the same way.
This is pretty niche, just FYI. I think Propaganda has about 43k listeners on Spotify so if you enjoy this, give him a follow, there or on Apple Music. And if not, then don’t!
What songs remind you of childhood? Let me know in the comments!
Sharing music is in my top five for how we can connect with each other...thank you for the introduction to Propaganda (and for the connection). I will most certainly Propaganda a follow on Spotify. "You Light Up My Life" is a song that will forever remind me of my childhood...my mom absolutely adored it and it played EVERYWHERE when I was old enough to be cognizant. Any song by Billy Joel, ABBA, Elvis or the Beatles will also transport me back to the car rides we took with our parents every weekend. And I would be remiss to leave out Englebert Humperdinck or Paul Anka. (But only when my sister and I had no input!)
